In the future, Singapore's goal is to employ more teachers. It is a large investment, but many observers say it is worth paying attention to and it would help cultivate creativity and performance within the schools.
In 2011, the student to teacher ratio dropped from 1:19 to 1:16 in primary school and 1:15 to 1:12 in secondary school. The ratio does not directly correlate with the class size, but rather more teachers at the school.
